Dalton Winery, perched in the hills of the upper Galilee at an elevation of 800 meters, has been quietly producing some of Israel’s most consistent and well-regarded wines since 1995. The winery takes its name from the nearby village of Dalton, and its altitude gives it a cool-climate advantage that shows in every bottle.
The Wines
Dalton is known for elegant, food-friendly wines with good acidity and restrained fruit. The reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are consistently praised, and the winery’s Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc are among the best whites produced in the Galilee. The Alma series, named after the nearby village, showcases single-vineyard expressions.
The Visitor Center
The tasting room at Dalton offers guided tastings with views of the upper Galilee hills. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff genuinely enjoy talking about wine. The winery also hosts events and can arrange food pairings.
