Kfar Tavor: Gateway to Mount Tabor

Kfar Tavor, established in 1901 at the foot of Mount Tabor, is one of the earliest Jewish agricultural settlements in the lower Galilee. Like Rosh Pina and Ilaniya, it was part of the wave of pioneering colonies that established a Jewish presence in the Galilee during the late Ottoman period. The village’s restored old quarter preserves stone buildings from the founding era, and its location at the base of Mount Tabor makes it a natural gateway to the mountain.
